Retreat Program - $1,500

Fund to provide opportunities to take Tamarindo's on Spiritual retreats throughout the year. Funds will cover transportation, stipend for retreat director, food and materials. We would like to have two retreat groups annually.

Pastoral Support for Sacred Heart Sisters - $1,800 ($150 per month)

Since the rebirth of Guarjila in 1992 the community has been very fortunate to have been blessed by the presence of Sisters of the Sacred Heart. The sisters have always worked with the Tamarindo and we have always tried to support their pastoral work which is so critical and yet unappreciated. With the death of Jon Cortina S.J (a Jesuit who worked in Guarjila and supported the nuns) and the recent change in Bishops the community has found itself with little support to continue their work. It has been reported that at times the nuns don't even have enough to eat. The funds will be awarded to the Community of the Sacred Heart for food and household expenses.

Emergency Family Funds - $2,000

Tamarindo programs are all about work, responsibility and sweat equity and yet there are times when families just can't seem to make it. They often need help to pay a bill, purchase food, pay a doctor, transportation, help burying their dead etc. This fund is for just that. A fund to help families that really need help.
