WORDS FROM OUR FOUNDER
On that beautiful night long ago, "the Word was made flesh" and the light of love came to a dark world. Those that wandered aimlessly were led by a star only to find in a poor child, divine hope; they would never again be lost. Later in life, that same child grew up and taught us that in the breaking of the bread, we could bring love and hope to a world which hungers for justice, meaning and true peace. Thank you for breaking bread with us. We thank you for your generous love.
BECAUSE OF YOU
We have been able to:
Provide Education: 110 students finished a year of the Tamarindo English Academy and are working toward English proficiency.
Make An Impact: Our early childhood development program continues to grow and we have the first ever lending library.
Create Opportunities: 10 micro-businesses projects have been funded and opened. There are 6 new college graduates!
Change Lives: After being held unjustly for months, 7 young men will celebrate Christmas at home!
AS WE LOOK TO 2023, OUR MOST PRESSING NEEDS ARE:
-1/2 time teacher and two additional classrooms to meet the demands of our early childhood development program -Additional women's formation programs in a country that had over 4,225 female femicides in 2021 -Equipment for sports programs that provide an alternative to gangs and violence +Scholarships for students to move on to post-secondary education
-Your prayers
WITH LOVE AND GRATITUDE It is through your generosity that the Tamarindo will continue to empower our communities to create better lives for themselves and their families. Please consider making the Tamarindo Foundation a part of your holiday giving.
May you and your family experience the love of Christmas and this holiday season,
John G. and the Tamarindo team,
